The cradle of civilization was also the birthplace for coffea arabica.  Some of the world's most distinctive coffees are grown in East Africa & the Arab Peninsula regions. These often remarkable coffees are characterized by a variety of striking floral and fruit notes, from the almost perfume-like floral and citrus character of Ethiopia wet-processed coffees through the intensely acidy and berry-toned Kenyas.

Ethiopian Sidamo (Organic & Fair Trade)
Ethiopian Sidamo (Organic & Fair Trade)
Our Price: $12.99

Ethiopia, considered the origin of coffee today, yields coffees that are among the world's most distinctive. Ethiopian coffees are some of our favorite Africans. Much more varied & intense than the Kenyans. This dry-processed wild Sidamo is rich, even for a light roast. Slightly sweet with a hint of blueberry (like the Yirgs). You wont think you’re drinking a light roast!  This coffee is SHADE GROWN.  LIGHT ROAST

This family of coffees also includes two of the world's oldest and most traditional origins: the Harrar & Yirgacheff coffees of north-eastern Ethiopia and the Arabic coffees of Yemen. Both display variations on a wild, complex, slightly fermented fruitiness that many coffee lovers find seductive.
